Located east of the city center and near the Sanlitun neighborhood, Chaoyang Park is the largest park in Beijing. It sits nestled between both residential complexes and large commercial zones. The park includes water, entertainment, wildlife, leaser and sporting events. The new subway line 14 will have two stations connecting to the main south entrance and the smaller east entrances.
The east entrance is a secondary entrance to the park represented in water and foliage. it is common to see elderly walking dogs and small groups engaged in conversation or Tai Chi. This calm and organic shaping of of the park is represented and transformed into the canopy of the structure through the solidity and transparency of materials.
